Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
