The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
